    Jesus is revealed in the Bible as the Son of God. He was first given this title by Gabriel when he spoke to Mary: “So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God” (Luke 1:35). After Jesus was baptized by John, God said, “This is my dearly beloved Son, who brings me great joy”. As the Son of God, Jesus was all powerful on earth. He healed the sick, cast out demons, walked on water, calmed the sea and had the authority to forgive sins.

  • Why did the expert ask Jesus who is a neighbor?

    Like the lawyer who asked the question of Jesus, who is my neighbor, there are people who desire to receive recognition for good works from God in this world, but they are not willing to do the things that God requires in order to receive God's blessing. We need to obey God's Word fully so that not only can we receive God's blessing, but we can also be fruitful for the kingdom of God.

    The ministry that the good Samaritan gave to the wounded Jewish man cost him something -- in his own physical strength, in his time, and from his finances.
